Cleared to Go Off Meds

Here's a happy bit of news. My latest blood test looked great and I am cleared to go off all meds. Progesterone is over 35 so no more suppositories. It's a relief in a numbers of ways. Mostly I know that the placenta is working And that means baby is still alive (in all likelihood).

I still have not gotten the heartbeat on the doppler but I'm still only 10 weeks and realize it could take another week or even two before I hear it. As long as I feel like shit (which I do much of the time) I'm sure everything is fine. I have no rational reason to think the worst. If I can stick to the facts and probabilities I'm fine.

I'm in a training session 9-5 all week so I might be slow to comment but I am still reading.

Woo-hoo! Congrats on reaching a new milestone. I just got the ok to stop the meds, too! Stopping the suppositories was wonderful!

Awesome to go off the meds, especially the suppositories. I had major headaches going off the suppositories, so I suggest weaning yourself slowly, but maybe that was just me. Hope your training goes well!

I can't believe you're already 10 weeks! This is awesome news even though I still detect a hint of debbie downer in your voice. Haha. Oh God I'd be the same way. Kids cause us all kinds of fear from moment one!

That is wonderful news! I remember how happy I was to finally ditch the progesterone.

Assvice and possibly TMI alert: when I couldn't find the HB so early in my pg with Charming Boy (and yes, 10 weeks is very early), I found that I had to hold the doppler pretty much all the way down at the bikini line and angle the business end of the doppler upwards (kind of like a dildocam LOL). Maybe that was just because I have a retroverted uterus (tipped backwards), but it was a relief to figure out the trick. Hope you get that lovely sounds yourself very soon. :)
