My Birthday is coming up...I wonder what Mr. Peeveme has planned...

If it's even 1/8th this over-the-top and trying-too-hard I will worry about the state of our marriage.

OMG, is it just me or are these two of the most annoying people on earth?

Dean McDermott Goes All Out for Tori Spelling's Birthday

He gets a tattoo to profess his "undying love for my gorgeous wife", threw a surprise party, surfing lessons. "I wanted her to have a special birthday because she's the love of my life," he says of the weekend. "She deserves the world."

I think a good partnership means doing little things every day that show respect, honoring, commitment and love. Offering to do my day-care pick up, buying me peanut butter even though it makes Mr. Peeveme gag. It's the everyday that builds a marriage not the celebratory days.

I'm not saying they don't have a good marriage...how would I know but methinks the dude doth proclaims too much.

I, too, think the ordinary days are what make a marriage so special. The days when I come home from work exhausted, to find that Big D did the dishes when HE got home from work--just so that I wouldn't have to. Or made my favorite dinner to cheer me up after I found out some distressing news. THESE are the moments I cherish and remember the most!

I'm with you. Little things add up much faster than the big things. Little things make me feel beloved even when I'm not dressed to the nines with fabulous hair, etc. Little things make the marriage.

I couldn't have said it better. You always put things so eloquently.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY (soon)!! :)

Hope you have a great upcoming birthday and Mr. Peeveme plans something appropriate and not too over the top. It really is all about the little things - like when hubby went and got the cushions out for the deck furniture this weekend when he saw me sitting out there reading on a hard chair.

I have watched that show a few times, I must admit.

And... gag me! LOL!

Of course, I will test at home first, knowing me. The nice thing is that it's further along so the wait is a few days less.

Thanks for the kind wishes. I admit I haven't checked in with your blog in a while. Your ticker shocked me!!! Time flies!!!

Vomit on Dean and Tori! They are so annoying!

Happy almost birthday!! When is it?

Thanks for your advice on my blog about going with DH to ER. You're not at all a bad wife for not going. I just felt kinda bad making my DH go alone becasue it's a 2 hour drive each way and I know he'll be nervous/uncomfortable. Plus, he's gone with me to about 2 million Dr. appts this year between my thyroid surgery and DE/IVF, so I figure I'll try to return the favor if possible :)

I guess good ole Dean doesn't mind going all out for his beauty.......it's her money he's spending!!!

Oh yeah - they just give me a rash. Gag. Life is the little things, not the publicity stunts.

They have too much money?

I am with you. Although my DH loves to be completely pampered on his birthday week (no, a day isn't enough for him); it is the every day stuff that keeps the marriage strong. No amount of over-the-top special occasion can make up for that.

Oooh I frigg'n LOVE the heck out of that show. She annoys me, he annoys me, their babies aren't cute and their friends annoy me BUT I love the drama. I live for drama. Happy early b'day!
