Small Victories Make Life Worth Living

For the first time since it's invention 3 years ago the Ironing Bag is empty. Empty I say! All table cloths, shirts, pants are wrinkle free. By tomorrow the Ironing bag will, once again, begin to fill with it's rumpled cargo (and cargo pants) for it's appetite can never be fully satiated but today, for a few precious hours, I had nothing that needed to be ironed.

I celebrated with a glass of Proseco and did a little dance. Hey man, victories have been far a few between lately. I'll take what I can get.

Wow you have an ironing bag? I just stick everything in closets and it you need something ironed you have to find me. I am impressed.

I think having all the laundry done, and heck any of it ironed is a definitely call for celebration! That's awesome :-)

I had to iron on a Daisy Scout patch a few weeks ago. My daughter had no idea what the contraption was in the middle of the room.

It was the ironing board.

She is 7.

Good job, Martha!

Good for you! It is such a great feeling to see the bottom of an ironing bag. (Not that I have one...we walk around wrinkled in this house, but I know seeing the bottom of all hampers and laundry baskets is a great feeling!!)

Congrats on your hours of victory!

You know... people are said to go postal because the mail never stops... SO, I find it interesting that the laundry never stops... the ironing (in your case) never stops, the dishes never stop... It's amazing that we all haven't gone of the deep end!

Thank you so much for your lovely comments. A warm welcome back to blogging.

Ironing isn't my thing either. There is a huge satisfaction in reaching the bottom though. Good for you!

I'm new to your blog but I'll be following your next IVF, fingers crossed.
