My guess is that she was face up, also known as "sunny side up" and that is why you were so late as her head was not pressing down on the cervix encouraging it to dialate. My last was induced at 42 weeks and 5 days for that reason and he looked much the same. But congrats, none the less, she is a beautiful baby!
